The first commercial triple-A game I worked on from start to finish was JWE3. It was a dream to get to work on its groundbreaking dinosaur gameplay features.
Over 2 years, I contributed a lot to the project and learned so much about how game development works in a large studio like Frontier Developments plc.
My main accomplishments for this project include:
- Dinosaur nesting area placement mechanics and their nest/egg visuals.
- The dinosaur container delivery system.
- Dinosaur territory expansion tweaks, comfort needs, and nurturing.
- UI info-panel setup, iteration and general UX improvements.
- Fixing many (300+) bugs to help the game release smoothly.
I was team player who worked closely with the senior designers and UI developers on the project to help iterate on some of the key new dinosaur gameplay features and UI flows.
